International human resources consulting group Penna has appointed Fiona Makowski as sector head in its executive search team.

Makowski will work across the sector in areas including HR, IT, technical, operations, sales, marketing and communications. She has been a director at a number of firms including Whitehead Mann, Korn Ferry and Oxygen, where she worked mainly in retail financial services. 

Makowski is joined by Andrew Drazin, who has been appointed as managing consultant. Drazin has worked for Whitehead Mann and AT Kearney and has more recently in house at The Royal Bank of Scotland with responsibility for recruiting the bank’s senior executives. 

Elsewhere, Anthony Hopkin has joined Penna as a principal consultant in its executive recruitment business and Sally Abbott has recently moved into Penna’s local government team and will focus on executive search within the North of England.
