The UK has maintained its position in a study of low-cost locations for business
The study by KPMG found that the UK ranked sixth among industrialised countries, the same position as in the previous survey two years ago. According to the study, costs for business in the UK were about 7% above the US. The UK has fallen down the table partly as a result of the appreciation of sterling against the dollar.
