Randstad said it is to buy global job site Monster Worldwide in a deal worth $429m (£330.6m) which will see the enlarged group expand its portfolio of HR services as well as its ability to offer digital and technology services to candidates.

Under the terms of the definitive agreement, Randstad will pay $3.40 per share in cash.
