Sport Direct faces legal showdown over zero hours

Retail chain Sports Direct is facing a legal challenge supported by a crowd-funded campaigning organisation against its widespread use of zero-hours contracts.

Solicitors firm Leigh Day are bringing a claim on behalf of Sports Direct employee Zahera Gabriel-Abraham in an Employment Tribunal against the firm, funded by campaigning organisation 38 Degrees, which has raised more than £10k from 11,265 members.
