There is something about Easter that makes paint and plasterboard irresistible. Not so alluring is the job of equipping DIY stores for the period - it is a real challenge that requires more than just forward planning, says Stephen Overell
Easter day commemorates the resurrection of Christ, when Jesus, the carpenter’s son from Nazareth, became Jesus Christ, risen from the freshly chiselled tomb to petrify, among others, Mary Magdalene and Salome. The festival signifies regeneration, new beginnings, new life.
This Easter will be no exception, although the modern witness is decidedly more secular....
