Growth potential Purchasing cards have been in the UK for a decade now. But although take-up has increased steadily, their market penetration remains relatively low, writes Peter Parry
It is now 10 years since a team of buyers at BOC considered using a corporate charge card to make low-value purchases. Their research had shown that nearly 60 per cent of transactions were for less than £250 and that these accounted for just over 3 per cent of spend.
