Once, I was discussing the subject of suppliers and specifications with a workshop group of IT managers. One made a comment that has always stuck in my mind. “You know,” he said, “the trouble with our suppliers is they give us what we ask for and not what we need.”
I would have laughed had it not been for the rest of the group nodding their heads in agreement...
