SMEs urged to act fast over IT tax breaks_2

IT tax relief for small firms is due to expire at the end of this month – just as thousands more companies became eligible earlier this year.

From 30 January this year the definition of a small company was changed, meaning that many more firms are eligible for IT tax breaks. But, says Roy Maugham, Tax Partner at accountants Hacker Young, there is a very short window of opportunity for firms to take up the tax credit.
