Whether to choose a local or an overseas supplier is a knotty problem for purchasers. The respective arguments are well understood; local is easy to handle and good quality, but it’s too expensive. Overseas sourcing is cheaper, but can be complicated to administer and the product quality can be sub-standard.
It’s as obvious now as it was 10, 20 or even 50 years...
