It’s easy to make assumptions based on first impressions of a candidate. But a good interviewer will probe deeper to discover the truth
Sometime between 427 and 347BC, Plato remarked: ‘You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.’ Although interviews aren’t designed to be play – they are a serious business that demand careful preparation and management – a good interview is still one of the best ways to judge a candidate’s suitability for a position.
