The art of saying ‘no’, like the art of delegation, can be a hard thing to learn. But, says Jacqui Bishop, it is essential if you are to manage your working life effectively
The ability to say “no” is perhaps the most crucial skill we can develop when we want to manage our time more effectively. Prioritising, minimising interruptions and making “to do” lists all help us to perform efficiently throughout the day, but accepting a project or piece of work because of our inability to say no can destroy our well-thought-out plans.
