As electronic commerce starts to boom, tax authorities are waking up to the profits. But will international agreements penalise cyber-businesses?
By the year 2000 more than $300 billion of business will be carried out electronically. But, as predicted profits soar, it is hardly astonishing that the tax authorities are starting to sit up and take notice of the new source of revenue.
