The opening up of the Chinese wool market has helped to rally prices and halt the decline of the world’s wool industry, says Andy Aitken
Although it is always prominent at this time of year in jumpers, cardigans, scarves, gloves, coats, jackets, and blankets, demand for wool is constant. Major buyers in the UK include clothing manufacturers and big end-users such as the Prison Service and the National Health Service.
