Business crime on the increase_2

One in four UK businesses were affected by crime in the second quarter of 2003, according to a Business Crime Index report by AXA insurance.

In total, 858,800 businesses were affected by crime between April and June 2003 – 23 per cent of all businesses in the UK. The report also claims that crime has cost business £9 billion in the past 12 months.
