Survey shows extent of pay gap

Men earn an average of £500 more than women every month, according to research by the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC).

The New Earnings Survey found that based on salary, men working full-time in the UK have an average annual gross salary of £27,300, compared to £20,592 for women – a difference of £559 per month.
