SunSystems tool to alert against maverick buying

Advanced item-search capabilities, templates and catalogues are part of the new Internet Purchasing Ordering System (iPOS) from SunSystems.

iPOS, developed by Australian software firm Professional Advantage, includes exception-alert capabilities for notification of any maverick buying, authorised supplier lists, as well as budget checking.

Access levels for information are determined and maintained by the organisation itself.

Nigel Rayner, product marketing director at SunSystems, said iPOS can track simple, one-off purchases through to the most complex, recurring orders and goods-received methodologies: “Information is up-to-date, allowing better understanding of spending patterns.”

iPOS reduces the need for time-consuming interaction and functions such as automatic loading of data and matching of invoices, allowing procurement staff to concentrate on more strategic matters, he added.

SunSystems is a product range of the Systems Union Group, a global software company quoted on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.

Its financial and business management solutions are used by 75 of the FTSE 100 and around a quarter of the Fortune 500 companies.

SunSystems supports its products with a range of training packages, available for every phase of implementation, set out as classroom courses or computer-based presentations.
