Senior purchasers win big pay rises_2

Senior purchasing and supply chain managers have enjoyed average salary increases of 20 per cent in the past year, well above the average for the sector, according to the third annual survey by supply chain recruitment specialists BJD Group.

With a 9 per cent increase on last year, directors of purchasing remain the most highly paid in the supply chain profession, according to the Supply Chain and Logistics Salary Survey 2001. Their average earnings are £80,500, compared with the £77,250 earned by supply chain directors, who come second.
