Purchasers to face redundancy at Eurotunnel

The procurement department at Channel Tunnel operator Eurotunnel will not escape a wave of voluntary redundancies.

The company announced in October that a total of 900 employees, split equally between the UK and France, will have left the firm by June 2006, bringing its headcount to 2,300. It hopes the reduction in staff will strengthen its financial position.
