Purchasers brand P2P ‘inadequate’

Purchasers are struggling with inadequate procure-to-pay (P2P) systems despite increasing pressure on them to deliver strategic gains, a survey has found.

The survey, carried out by Bristol Business School and Oracle UK, questioned 110 delegates at September’s eWorld Purchasing and Supply conference in London.

It found 51 per cent of respondents class their P2P processes as “in need of attention”. Only 14 per cent of private firms and 3 per cent of public bodies have “best-in-class” procedures. Four per cent are...
