The biggest challenge for purchasing and supply professionals in Africa is to make an impact on the business agenda, Alex Massie, vice-chairperson of the CIPS Botswana branch, told a recent meeting.

“We need to prove to our senior management that we have the skills, knowledge and experience by being innovative, using and implementing supply chain best practices,” he said.
