Outsourced IT buying at an end for Cornhill_2

Insurance company Cornhill is to bring its IT procurement back in-house in a bid to improve service levels and cut costs.

The firm outsourced its purchasing of IT goods and services three years ago to cut overheads, said Alan Manton, corporate IT procurement manager at Cornhill. “At that time, there was a general perception that it was a quick, easy and cheaper solution which would allow the company to focus on its core business,” he said. “But things have changed.”
