New chief for ICAS

Des Hudson will be the next Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), taking up the appointment later this month.

Hudson will replace current Chief Executive Ian Marrian, who is to retire in December after 20 years of service with the Institute.

Marrian and Hudson will work together until the end of this year, and Hudson will then be responsible for taking ICAS through its Fast Forward to 2010 initiative for modernising ICAS as a professional body.
