MoD uses Award system to weigh air defence bids

Commerce Decisions has been chosen by the Ministry of Defence to supply software for evaluating tenders for a major air defence system.

The software, called Award, allows users to store detailed comparative information about companies bidding for contracts.

Defence suppliers Lockheed Martin and EADS will compete in the next two years for the contract to develop the enhanced Ground Based Air Defence system, designed to improve the defence of ground forces.
