Local authorities are being urged to adopt a voluntary code of practice for construction sites, aimed at improving their performance and accountability with the local community. The Local Government Association has issued guidance to councils in England and Wales pressing them to implement the Construction Industry Board’s Considerate Constructors Scheme.
