Lead for Jermy in Northants police savings inquiry

Mark Jermy has been appointed head of procurement at Northamptonshire Police as the force seeks to rationalise its supply base.

Jermy will control a £12 million budget ranging from vehicles and helicopters to dog food and police uniforms.

“We want to eliminate duplication across the force and reduce our supply base by 25 per cent over the next six months,” he said. “By April, we should have about 700 suppliers.”
