Lakin set to begin efficiency drive in Lincolnshire
28 August 2012
Lincolnshire County Council has appointed its first corporate procurement manager to drive efficiencies and progress towards targets set in the government’s national procurement strategy.
Robert Lakin is the first member of a central procurement unit and gains influence over a £200 million annual budget.
He will be responsible for bringing procurement strategy into line with the national strategy, which will also seek the 2.5 per cent efficiency savings recommended by the Gershon review.
The council should agree its course early next year...
