India is awaiting an offer from BAE Systems on the price of 66 Hawk jet trainers to replace the country's ageing Russian Mig planes, which have claimed the lives of its pilots in 85 accidents. Russia denies technical problems were to blame, and claims India has been buying unreliable and unauthorised spares from Ukrainian factories. India refutes the claim.
