Emergency services to increase collaboration_2

Greater collaborative procurement across the three emergency services produces major benefits, according to the preliminary findings from a study by Suffolk Fire Service.

The report, which is due to be published in January, highlights opportunities for national co-operation between services in fleet maintenance, driver training, finance and personnel services, accommodation provision and maintenance, benchmarking information and purchasing common goods.
