CIPFA announces award winners

Institutions and individuals have been honoured in a series of awards made at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) conference, which closes today.

The Tom Sowerby Award for ‘outstanding service to CIPFA students’ was presented to Dave Sexton, a senior lecturer Ashcroft Business School. The Institute praised Sexton for ‘many years of charismatic leadership’, for his work on developing the CIPFA syllabus and exams, and for his involvement with the Association of CIPFA lecturers and the CIPFA National Student Forum...
