BBC draws up IT bidders' shortlist

The BBC has drawn up a shortlist of bidders for its IT services arm as part of a £2 billion outsourcing project.

The corporation expects to save £20-30 million a year by outsourcing BBC Technology. The division supplies 26,000 personal computers and IT services for the BBC and handles contracts for other media groups such as British Sky Broadcasting.

The shortlisted trio are Accenture, CSC and Siemens.
