Businesses are concentrating too much on e-commerce and neglecting business strategy, say industry experts.
Michael Roberts, business process improvement manager at Rolls-Royce, speaking at this month’s Captains of Industry conference in London, said firms are so desperate to jump on the e-commerce bandwagon that they fail to think through what is best for the company.
Firms are introducing websites and e-procurement for their own sake, he said.
