Little evidence of improvement as demand for permanent and contract staff fell for the 17th consecutive month, according to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s Report on Jobs.

“In the last 18 months we’ve seen a slump in demand and there’s little evidence of any improvement,” says Steve Bowyer, managing director of IT recruitment agency the Nesco Group.
