Avoiding discrimination

Can you tell me whether it is a good idea to ask on our agency application forms whether potential workers are disabled or not? I have done so in the past, but I have been informed that it could prove to be discriminative?

There is no problem in including the question within your application forms. Indeed it could be said to be essential as you need to ensure that if someone is disabled they are not discriminated against within the interview process.
As an alternative you might include a paragraph within the letter inviting people to interview, asking if they have any special...
