Auctioning puts BT tenders online_3

BT plans to advertise 10 per cent of its tenders on the Internet when it rolls out an e-commerce reverse auctioning system this month.

The company has been piloting the new system since the beginning of the year, said Anthony Peake, head of online trading community BT MarketSite. BT’s own purchasing department signed up to the site last October for its internal e-procurement.
