Oracle chief slams best of breed as ‘outdated fantasy’

“Best of breed” e-business systems, made up of software from a range of providers, are an “out-dated fantasy”, according to the chief executive of Oracle.
Speaking at the software supplier’s AppsWorld conference in Amsterdam earlier this month, Larry Ellison said that applications for business processes had to be integrated.
