Are we all agreed that talk of buyer-supplier co-operation and partnerships has had its day? My guess is that, even at the height of its popularity, the partnership fad had little effect on many real buyer-supplier interactions.
The key factor in determining the nature and tone of the relationship between a buyer and supplier is the distribution of power....
