Automotive supplier Avon Rubber has said it is considering closing its Trowbridge factory when the lease is due for renewal in 2003.


Automotive supplier Avon Rubber has said it is considering closing its Trowbridge factory when the lease is due for renewal in 2003. The company has blamed the lack of competitiveness of making car parts in the UK, and said it plans to transfer production to Europe. About 285 jobs could be lost if the plant is closed.
