Latest appointments for week of 24-28 April 2017

• Professional services firm giant group has appointed Mathew Armstrong as managing director to lead pre-employment screening and background checking provider giant screening.

Armstrong has more than 11 years’ screening industry experience across managed services and technology.

• Professional services staffing group Harvey Nash has appointed Mark Garratt as group finance director, in line with its announcement in March. Richard Ashcroft steps down as group FD as today (27 April).

• Global executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles has appointed Bo Herbst in the expanded role of global practice managing partner, leading its industrial practice worldwide.

Herbst, named regional practice managing partner for the firm's industrial practice in the Americas in 2013, will continue to hold this role while leading the practice globally.

• IT, digital and change staffing specialist iSource Group has appointed Dan Mills a digital practice director. In his new role, Mills will head-up a new digital marketing division within the company.

With Mills at the head, iSource aims to make the division a £1m business unit over the next five years.

Lombard International has appointed Sandra Locke as executive vice president, global director of HR. Locke joins the wealth structuring solutions provider to take responsibility for the firm’s global HR strategy, partnering with leadership teams in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.

She joins from risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter, where she was MD, global head of HR, and a member of its executive committee, responsible for their human capital strategy.

• Staffing specialist Parity Group has confirmed that John Conoley has joined the board as non-executive chairman, as announced in its March statement. Conoley will become chairman of both the Remuneration and Nomination board committees, and a member of the Audit Committee.

In line with the March announcement, Lord Freeman also retires from the board today (27 April).

• International executive search firm Pedersen & Partners has appointed Mutlu Eroğlu principal in its Istanbul team in Turkey. Eroğlu brings more than 15 years of senior executive recruitment experience from diverse sectors including production, energy, tourism, FMCG & retail, life sciences, financial services, property & construction, and technology.

Herman Nijns, recruitment giant Randstad’s CEO for Belgium and Luxembourg, has been appointed president of Federgon – the Belgian federation of HR service providers.

• Multi-sector recruiter Search Consultancy has appointed Adam Zdravkovic as divisional manager for its legal recruitment team in Manchester.

Zdravkovic, a former trainee solicitor with law firm Walker Morris, will focus on in-house recruitment for commerce and industry clients, managing a team of private practice and international legal recruitment specialists.

• Business partners Nick Langley and Sarah Bennett have launched recruitment-to-recruitment agency The Rec2Rec Clinic.

The agency will initially offer training, as well as contingency recruitment services to SMEs across the North-West, Yorkshire, Midlands and South-East, ahead of rolling their services out nationally.

Nicholas Associates Group appoints Kendall COO

Rotherham-headquartered recruitment specialist Nicholas Associates Group (NAG) has strengthened its executive board with the appointment of Kelly Kendall as chief operating officer.
