Accountancy and executive recruiter The One Group has announced a record-breaking August for client billing.

Despite the downturn, the recruitment firm reported a 94% increase in billing for August compared to the same month in 2007, while turnover doubled year-on-year for the last three financial years and is on course to double again at the end of the year.

Tristan Drane, director at The One Group, said: “August is usually regarded as one of the quietest months of the year but as these figures clearly show, we’ve seen a huge increase in activity right across the full spectrum of the business.”
