Red Snapper helps GLAA find investigating officers

London-based recruiter Red Snapper Group is working with the Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) on a recruitment drive.

The law enforcement and cyber security staffing firm is helping the non-departmental public body find suitable candidates for a raft of investigating officer roles.

The GLAA was this year given police-style powers to investigate labour abuse and exploitation.

It now has the ability to search for and seize evidence, and can tackle a wider range of offences than its predecessor body.

Interested individuals have until Friday 9 June to email their application pack for the role.

The job ad describes the GLAA as an “intelligence-led” organisation that relies and acts upon information from workers, businesses and members of the public about any non-compliant or unlicensed activity.

It is looking for investigating officers in the South-East, Devon and Cornwall, the North and North Wales.

“The core focus of this role will be to investigate reports of labour exploitation, including modern slavery and human trafficking offences,” said the job ad.

Both the GLAA and Red Snapper declined to comment on the recruitment drive ahead of tomorrow’s general election.
