Computershare to create 300 jobs in Edinburgh

Australian financial services company Computershare is to create 300 new jobs over the next three to four years at a new technology centre of excellence in Edinburgh.

The job creation was revealed by Scottish Enterprise in a statement this morning. The development agency has provided £2m to help fund the new roles.

The statement also revealed that the promotion of Scotland as a place to do business by Scottish Development International (SDI) secured 7,839 jobs in Scotland during 2016/17, up 10% on the previous year.

SDI is the international arm of the Scottish Government and Scotland's enterprise agencies – Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
