An Australian government programme to help people into work has recorded 214,422 job placements since it started in July 2015. 

Jobactive offers a range of programmes and services to targeted jobseekers, including Work for the Dole, wage subsidies, work experience and an enterprise scheme to help people set up their own businesses. 

Commenting on the figures, minister for employment, senator, the Hon Michaelia Cash, says: “Jobactive’s unique approach encourages partnerships between providers and employers to ensure jobseekers are appropriately matched to employer needs and have a better chance of finding and keeping a job.”
