US-based National Banking Network’s integration into member-owned split placement network NPAworldwide will complete on 1 January 2016 with the NBN brand disappearing from this date.

NBN, which launched in 1986, operates accounting and banking & financial services career networks, and was acquired by NPAworldwide in September last year.

The 1 January date was revealed by NPA president Dave Nerz at a recent networking event organised by the NPA and independent recruiter network The Employment Agency Movement (TEAM).

A new trading group for recruiters in the banking sector may be launched following the integration, Nerz said.

The NPA currently has trading groups covering IT, accounting/financial services, healthcare, chemical process, cross industry including sales, marketing, HR, management, customer service and manufacturing/mining/construction/supply chain.

When NPA announced the acquisition last year, its chairman Jeff McGraw said blending of the two would take “some time” and they were “not going to rush to a shared solution”.

“We intend to take the time needed to understand what NPAworldwide does best and can be shared with NBN, just as NPAworldwide will leverage the best practices established by NBN,” he said.
