Recruitment marketing agency andSoMe is today shutting up shop.

The agency, launched in 1998 by Manda Crowder and Mark Rice, and profiled in Recruiter in February last year, had worked with the likes of Arcadia Group, Boots, JD Wetherspoon, Le Manoir, Levi, Sony Playstation and The Dorchester.

In 2009, the firm – previously known as andsome – changed its business strategy to focus only on social media recruitment marketing, becoming andSoMe. Two years ago, it closed its website in favour of communicating with clients via its Facebook page.

In a recent company blog, Rice revealed as of tomorrow, he and Crowder will continue to work on project consultancy and community management.

“It’ll just be a bit less full-on and day-to-day than it has been,” he said. “After almost 18 years, with the near-on 24/7 of the last seven, we think it’s something we’re due.”

The company won the 2015 Recruiter Award for Most Effective Employer Brand Development in partnership with The Original Bowling Company.
