Legal recruiter Shilton Sharpe Quarry has released its results for the year ended 31 December 2008.

Legal recruiter Shilton Sharpe Quarry has released its results for the year ended 31 December 2008.

Operating profit grew to £1.18m from £1.17m in 2007, while profits after tax for 2008 rose to £749,212, up from £728,980 the previous year.

Turnover fell from £6.87m in 2007 to £6.62m in 2008.

Gareth Quarry, joint managing director of Shilton Sharpe Quarry commented on the figures: “We are delighted to be bucking the trend and unveiling increased profits of £1.237m. This is testament to the quality and robustness of our business model and our geographic diversity - together with our unique range of services from partner, team and associate moves to law firm mergers.

“We have also enjoyed an outstanding 2009 which has been another year of significant progress for group. Indeed, in stark distinction to most of our peers we are currently actively recruiting new consultants and selectively exploring new business streams and geographies - both within legal and in other disciplines. We look forward to 2010 and beyond with considerable excitement.”
