Wed, 7 Jan 2015 | By Graham SimonsTransport and logistics firm DX has become the latest carrier aiming to hire redundant City Link workers as it seeks to fill 150 roles.

The group has picked up assets from City Link, including scanners and cages as well as certain intellectual property, for £1.125m. The sale followed the firm’s collapse, leaving more than 2,000 employees out of work.

A DX spokesperson told Recruiter the firm is also seeking to recruit former City Link workers to join its workforce, with the carrier setting up a dedicated page to encourage City Link employees to post their CVs.

“DX sees the possibility of 150 vacancies right across the UK,” she said.

“There is a website they can send CVs to, so there is a chance some of them will be employed.”

DX is the latest carrier to step in and help City Link workers. Yesterday [6 January] Recruiter reported TNT is reaching out to City Link workers to fill 100 vacancies across its network.
