FINANCIALS: Heidrick & Struggles revenue up 8% for first nine months

US-listed executive search company Heidrick & Struggles posted an 8% rise in revenue to $373m (£233m) for the first nine months of the year and said it had made good progress in its growth strategy.

Net income in the accounting period was $6m compared to $4.8m in the same period the previous year.

The company said executive search and leadership consulting net revenue was up 6.3% year-over-year, or $20.4m, to $346.8m, driven by a 30.1% increase in Europe.  

Compared to the first nine months of 2013, revenue in the Americas was essentially the same and revenue in Asia Pacific nudged up 1%.  

From a global practices perspective, the consumer markets, financial services and global technology & services industry groups boosted year-over-year growth.

Looking ahead, Heidrick & Struggles forecast fourth quarter net revenue of between $112m and $123m depending on market and wider economic conditions.
