Mon, 7 Jul 2014International specialist recruiter Robert Walters has reported a £53.9m gross profit for the second quarter, up 5% from £51.1m a year ago.

The company, which mainly places candidates in engineering, banking, legal and marketing roles, says good performance was maintained across the UK, with accounting and legal the standout performers in both London and the rest of the country.

There were gains in gross profit in all four of its geographic regions, including a 21% rise to £17m in the UK.
