East Anglian offshore wind farm to generate almost 2,900 jobs

The East Anglia One offshore wind farm that is expected to support almost 2,900 UK jobs and bring more than £520m of investment into the UK economy has been given consent from the government to go ahead.

The East Anglia One offshore wind farm that is expected to support almost 2,900 UK jobs and bring more than £520m of investment into the UK economy has been given consent from the government to go ahead.

Based off the coast of Suffolk, the wind farm will support around 1,800 local jobs, of which 1,600 will relate to the initial construction phase and 170 will be for maintenance and operations.

Once built, the wind farm will be worth £10m a year to the East Anglian economy.
