Ciett, the international confederation of private employment services (PrES), has elected a new board at its annual conference in Brussels, to oversee the organisation until 2017.

New members include Annemarie Muntz, Randstad Holding, as its new president, Hans Leentjes, ManpowerGroup as vice president (VP), and as Recruiter reported last week, Kevin Green, chief executive officer of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), as VP chair of the national federations committee.

The Ciett board consists of representatives from across the globe, from both corporate members and regional representatives. The executive committee of the board now comprises:

 • Annemarie Muntz, Randstad, Ciett president

• Hans Leentjes, ManpowerGroup, Ciett VP

• Kevin Green, REC, officer/VP chair of the national federations committee

• Pam Berklich, Kelly Services, officer/VP chair of the corporate members committee

• Mark de Smedt, Adecco, officer/VP

• Aart van der Gaag, ABU, quality standards and compliance officer

• Herwig Muyldermans, Federgon, will remain in his position of treasurer

Muntz takes over from Fred van Haasteren, who was executive VP social & general affairs at Randstad until his retirement from the company in 2011.

Muntz, new Ciett president, said: “The PrES industry has a crucial role to play for both companies and people and there is plenty of research to prove the positive impact of the contingent workforce on the labour market and throughout the economy.

“It is up to the industry, and those working in it, to be proud of giving people employment and giving business a sustainable future.”
